Light-Be Lighting (Pty) Ltd is South Africa's fastest growing public lighting company, and is 100% owned by South African citizens.

Light-Be was established in February 2005 to facilitate the local assembly and distribution of the Philips outdoor lighting range in Southern Africa. The product ranges include street lighting, flood lighting, urban lighting, commercial lighting and industrial lighting. These ranges of high quality lighting products use the latest lighting technologies available at the most affordable prices to provide creative and cost-effective lighting solutions to the market.

 Light-Be has since successfully and continuously engaged in the research, design, development and manufacturing of its own product ranges to supplement those available from Philips Lighting South Africa.

Light-Be’s products have been specifically designed and selected to fulfil the requirements of the harsh African markets, and have been used extensively in infrastructure projects such as highways, main roads, residential streets, high mast area lighting, stadium and sports lighting, urban lighting, commercial, industrial and energy efficiency projects. The performance of our products has secured various major export opportunities for the company within its relatively short time in existence.

Light-Be has been issued the SABS permit to apply the certification marks 60598 and 475 to its products, and has also been certified in terms of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems. All its products are manufactured in its 4 500m2 manufacturing facilities located in Chamdor, Krugersdorp, South Africa. .
